  • 1 Baguette
  • 1 cup Mushroom
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Garlic (cloves)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1 cup Gouda cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley (optional)

This is basically an open faced sandwich filled with mushroom and cheese that tastes best when served sizzling hot.

    1. Finely chop garlic and fry it in butter for 10 seconds.
    2. Add chopped Onion and fry until golden brown. Then add the chopped mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes and season with salt and pepper.
    3. Cut the baguette in half, scrape the bread to make hole and fill with mushroom
    4. Grate gouda cheese and sprinkle it all over the baguettes
    5. Bake in an oven at 180 degree C for 5 minutes. Serve hot drizzled with ketchup and parsley.

Serve hot to enjoy the full taste. If It is not hot, place it back in the oven for 3-5 minutes. Do not use microwave oven, as it will make the bread soft and will loose its crunchy texture.
