How To Make Burger King French Toast Sticks
Start off by making the custard to dip the french toast sticks in.
In a bowl, add half a cup of milk, 1 egg, 2 tsp of sugar, 2-3 drops of vanilla, and whisk them well.
The next step is to prepare the crust for the french toast sticks which will really add that Burger King Touch to this recipe. You can follow one of two ways:
In the grinding jar/smoothie maker add a cup of corn flakes, 2 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. cinnamon powder, a pinch of salt run it in a blender until coarse.
In a bowl, mix the 1/2 cup bread crumbs with 2 tbsp. powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon powder along with a pinch of salt. Set aside.
Cut the brown crust of the bread slice and further cut each slice into 3 strips.
Now, Place the custard, crumbs and sliced bread sticks next to each other.
Roll the bread strips in the custard and allow it to soak up the custard, for about 8-10 seconds. Do not over soak them because we do not want them to become soggy.
Carefully lift the soaked bread strips one at a time and place them on the sweet bread crumbs and coat them completely.
Optional Step: Place them in the freezer for at least an hour so that they get firm. Now dip the sticks in custard again and coat with another layer of crumbs and fry immediately.
