Ramadan Special Series Recipe 19 – Crispy Chicken Strips

These Crispy Chicken strips taste better than the one’s you get from the fast food restaurants. They are crispy, tender and you can adjust the spices according to your taste. They are also called as chicken fingers, chicken tenders or chicken fillets. So here goes the recipe!

Ingredients:

For marinating:

  • 3 chicken breast pieces
  • 1 cup yougurt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 +1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 lemon juice

For coating:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup corn powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Ingredients:

  1. Cut the chicken breast into strips, add the ingredients for marinating and let it marinate for atleast half an hour.
  2. In a bowl, Mix all the ingredients required for coating.
  3. Dip the chicken strips into the coating mix, wiggle it with the spoon and you will see a texture form.
  4. Transfer it directly into oil, deep fry it at a medium flame. ( if you coat and keep it in a place, it will lose its texture)
